Happy 60th, Belmond Hotel Cipriani
By: VICTORIA VEILLEUX
In 1958, Giuseppe Cipriani transformed a barren strip of land on Giudecca Island – a five-minute boat ride from Venice’s Saint Mark’s Square – into a jet-setter’s paradise. Sixty years later, the 96-room Belmond Hotel Cipriani is throwing a yearlong anniversary party. Guests can expect a special cocktail menu from legendary bartender Walter Bolzonella (try the vodka-based Hidden Liquid) and exclusive excursions exploring behind-the-scenes Venice.
Of course, there are party favors: Limited-edition gifts range from socks by Italian designer Gallo to Merchant of Venice perfumes. Where do we RSVP?
