10. Rose Hall Great House, Jamaica
The estate belonged to a very rich plantation owner in Montego Bay. His beautiful young wife however practiced witchcraft and voodoo. It is said that she used the slaves as guinea pigs, tortured and even killed them. Today there is a ghost of Great White Witch, haunting in this house.
Why to go there?
Go on a tour during Halloween and maybe you will meet this witch if you wish.

9. Chateau Miranda, Celles, Belgium
Built in the 19th century by French aristocrats who escaped the Revolution, the castle was taken over by the Belgian government, that established an orphanage here. It was closed in 1980, but the family refused to relinquish it to the state to take care of it. Therefore, today it attracts adventurers and ghost hunters.
How to get there?
Keep in mind that you can be fined for getting inside. Get to the village of Celles by train.

Visit the spooky Manchac Swamp, which is truly enigmatic and probably the place, where ghosts spend a lot of their time. Also there are authentic voodoo shops, where you can purchase tools for magic. Also join the fun parade, that hits the streets and is truly amusing.

7. West Hollywood Carnaval, Los Angeles, USA
The celebration takes place in Santa Monica Boulevard, where around 500 000 people gather to have an exceptional masquerade. The participators compete whose costume is going to be more outrageous and exceptional. A true feast for your eyes and of course amusing parties as well as music performances entertain the gatherers.

6. Festival of the Dead, Salem, Massachusetts, USA
The town has a significant historic meaning: it was the infamous place of, where witches once lived. Today the festival attracts around 500 000 visitors each year, who pay their dues to the dead. The Annual Psychic Fair and Witchcraft Expo take place throughout October, while the main gathering known as the Salem Witches’ Halloween Ball features voodoo ceremonies, ritual music and appearances of the Witchdoctors.

Various events take place through whole October. The main ball is being held on the 31st day of the month.

5. Las Vegas Halloween, Las Vegas, USA
The town throws an incredible extravaganza – after all Las Vegas is the capital of fun and entertainment. Thousands gather to the Strip and join an incredible parade, where unbelievable masks and costumes make one’s head spin.

Hotels and clubs invite to join an abundance of colorful themed parties and celebrate until you drop.

4. Halloween on Halsted, Chicago, USA
The visitors can enter a competition and compete for a prize in these categories: pet costume, drag, scariest, most original, and best group. The parade takes place in Northalsted neighborhood, which is rich with restaurants and bars, that also organize fun themed parties and music events.

On October 31st. If you want to participate in the costume competition, you have to register in advance.

3. Dracula’s Castle, Romania

2. Oaxaca, Mexico
The Day of the Dead was celebrated by the Aztec and Mayan civilizations already. Locals visit cemeteries, where they prey and even play music and sing. Streets are decorated with flowers and skulls – the death always looms around and the celebration commemorates that.

1. The Great Jack’O Lantern Blaze, Sleepy Hollow, New York, USA
Found in Hudson Valley, Sleepy Hollow gets filled with amazing sculptures, made entirely of pumpkins. Every year the exhibition features 4000 carved and illuminated pumpkins. Scary snakes, a giant spider web, an undersea aquarium, super-sized dinosaurs, pirates, ghosts and other spooky characters provide a unique site.
